Do not lose control over your ego as this will lead to big money losses. You may think that you’re invincible and can do almost anything when you play in the comfort of your home in front of a big computer or tv screen. You might think that you can beat anyone who will come to your table but you should remember that the best online poker player don’t focus on that. They’re just win the money and don’t really think about outplaying or beating anyone.
There will always be days when a session just won’t go your way and the lady luck will be somewhere else. There will be people who don’t respect your raises, people who call your bluffs and you will be getting awful hands. When you see this happening you should say to yourself that it’s necessary to stop right now and take a break. Otherwise you risk to lose control and empty your account completely. You can always get back to game – online poker rooms are available 24/7.
Practice shows that in most cases you only need a 20 minute break to refresh your mind and calm down. However, if your new game isn’t as good as you expected it to be or even worse it didn’t change a single bit and you’re losing again – take another break. Try to relax, do something that will calm you down and remember – there are millions of online poker players in the world and there’s always someone you can play with.
